The Nest

Provided by Cedar Outreach Society

The Nest

Year-round emergency 24-hour shelter for self-identified females ages 19 and older. Accommodation in bunk beds. Provides dinner, breakfast, and a bagged lunch; snacks and coffee; laundry and shower facilities; personal hygiene products; and donated clothing (plus new socks and underwear). One tote bin and small locker available per person for personal belongings. No cart storage. Low-barrier shelter; individuals must not be too intoxicated to complete an intake. Accepts individuals on substitution therapy. Limited number of pets accepted. Wheelchair accessible. No walk-ins; must call in advance or be referred by another agency. Intakes hours are 10 am to 10 pm. Funded by BC Housing.
