Therapeutic Activation Program for Seniors (TAPS) - Surrey

Wellness program for isolated Surrey immigrants and refugees ages 55 and older who are experiencing barriers to physical or mental health, and/or are isolated or lonely due to limited community or family supports. Program includes one-on-one intake assessment and support, wellness calls by volunteers, exercise groups, and group phone calls with other seniors to chat, play games, and share music. Registration required. See website for a calendar of programs. Offered in partnership with Fraser Health, funded by United Way BC (UWBC) Healthy Aging Program, and as a Therapeutic Activation Programs for Seniors (TAPS) by the Government of BC.
