TransSupport

Provides free and confidential discussion groups for transgender youth ages 13 to 25 who live within the Fraser North catchment area (Burnaby to Maple Ridge), and also for their parents and guardians. Provides youth with peer support, information, and resources necessary to identify and address their gender issues. At the same time in a separate room, provides parents/caregivers with support and validation of their own feelings and concerns, and the education and information necessary to be supportive to their youth. Offered a total of six evenings per month, twice each in three different locations: Burnaby, Port Coquitlam, and Maple Ridge, from 7 pm to 9 pm. All groups are facilitated. Registration required.
