Turning Point Outreach Community Counselling Program (TPOCC)

Provides free short-term counselling on an outreach basis for individuals with addiction and mental health issues to help prevent overdoses, especially for those who might not need bed-based or intensive outpatient services. Residents must live on the North Shore (North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Bowen Island, or Lions Bay), Richmond, or Vancouver; sessions take place in the community near the person's workplace or home. Number of counselling sessions is determined based on needs. Also assists individuals to connect with substance use and mental health services. Funded by Community Action Initiative in partnership with Ministry of Mental Health and Addictions, and Ministry of Health.
