Maintains staff-supported homes for youth ages 18 and under facing significant behavioural or developmental challenges. Placements can be emergency or planned, short- or long-term. Aims to help young people, who may have significant behavioural and developmental challenges, begin to develop the attitudes, skills, and relationships necessary for a future that doesn't include involvement in the court system. Youth workers develop and implement individualized service plans in cooperation with youth and their support networks, to promote a wide variety of outcomes. Works to create a safe and nurturing environment while maintaining positive connections with peers, families, and home communities. Accepts referrals from professionals working in the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD), the Department of Health & Social Services of the Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT), the Government of the Yukon, and Aboriginal Delegated Authorities. Homes are located throughout the Lower Mainland.
