Usma Nuu-Chah-Nulth Family and Child Services

Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) delegated Aboriginal agency that supports parents, extended families, and communities living on Nuu-chah-nulth reserves in protecting their children from abuse and neglect. Provides protective services by investigating reports of child abuse and neglect, and ensuring the safety and support of children who are victims of abuse and neglect. Other MCFD services coordinated through central provincial offices include helplines and after-hours support; resources and referral; funding and benefits programs; and specialized treatment for disabilities, mental health issues, and substance use. Serves Aboriginal people living in Ahousaht, Ditidaht, Ehattesaht, Hesquiaht, Hupacasath, Huu-ay-aht, Kyuquot/Cheklesaht, Mowachaht/Muchalaht, Nuchatlaht, Tse-shaht, Tla-o-qui-aht, Toquaht, Uchucklesaht, and Ucluelet. Office hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
