Victim Services Program

Provides victim services to victims of all ages and genders who have experienced recent or historic child abuse, sexual assault, violence in relationship, or stalking. Provides emotional support, advocacy, and practical assistance such as transportation and accompaniment to related meetings, court orientation and accompaniment, form completion assistance, and liaison with justice system personnel. Also provides information about the criminal justice system, court proceedings, case status, and hearing dates, as well as referral to community services. Also offers third party reporting to victims of sexualized assault; staff report the assault to police on behalf of the victim who remains anonymous. Serves the northern communities of Masset, Old Masset, Port Clements, Tlell, and Tow Hill. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday; program hours vary. Funding provided by the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG).
