Vital Statistics Agency (VSA)

Records and issues certificates for births, adoptions, deaths, marriages, and divorces that occur in BC. Issues marriage licenses and has marriage commissioners who perform civil marriages at the couple's choice of location. Registers and searches wills. Provides change of name services and can change gender markers on birth certificates. Hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
