Wellness Program - Duncan

A team of clinical counsellors and Coast Salish workers provide free mental, physical, and emotional health and wellness support through one-on-one and group services for First Nations children, youth, and families of Halalt (Chemainus), Lyackson (Chemainus), Malexel (Malahat), Penelakut (southern Gulf Islands), Qualicum, Snaw-Naw-As (Nanoose), Snuneymuxw (Nanaimo), Stz'uminus (Ladysmith), and Ts'uubaa-asatx (Lake Cowichan). Counsellors provide assessment and treatment utilizing a holistic approach and incorporating Coast Salish teachings to address challenges including problematic substance use, relationship difficulties, depression and anxiety, past trauma, and suicidal ideation. Recreational activities are also offered. Serves Duncan. Office hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
