Wellness Programs

The Wellness Development Centre for individuals age 19 and over with mental health issues provides opportunities to connect with others, learn about mental health, and engage in wellness-based activities. Services include peer support, mental health information sessions, mental health workshops, and mindfulness exercises. Courses are offered online, and when available, in-person. Referral required from a health professional. Peer Support Groups meet weekly both in person and online. The Discovery College offers free online courses designed to educate and provide practical tools for promoting people's well-being; topics include navigating grief, social media and mental health, caregiving for loved ones experiencing mental health or substance use challenges, and navigating aging parents. See website for a calendar and referral forms. Centre hours are from 12 noon to 1 pm Mondays, and 11 am to 2 pm Tuesday to Thursday.
