Withdrawal Management Services - Community Medical Detox Unit

Facility offers short-term stay for individuals experiencing acute medical withdrawal and who are in need of detox. Average stay is seven days. Provides 24-hour support for withdrawal management, which includes clinician-lead group counselling, peer support, facilitated recovery groups, and AcuDetox. Offers support to safely reach the early stages of abstinence-based recovery. Referral accepted from Island Health service providers, including addiction and recovery workers, nurses, and clinicians. Also accepts self-referrals through Access Central or a local Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) team. Serves Greater Victoria communities of Brentwood Bay, Colwood, Esquimalt, Langford, North Saanich, Oak Bay, Saanich, Saanichton, Sidney, Sooke, Victoria, and View Royal. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
