Youth Assertive Outreach Mental Health Team

Provides trauma-informed mental health and wellness counselling to marginalized youth up to 18 years of age where attempts to engage with mainstream mental health services have not been successful. Youth may be in foster care, living independently, precariously housed, or experiencing homelessness or street involvement. Also provides psychiatric assessment and follow-up, connection to community-based supports, referral to group counselling, and advocacy and planning for youth transitioning out of youth services and/or foster care. Also offers specific support and culturally relevant and supportive wellness counselling for Indigenous youth. Referrals from community partners. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
