YWCA Arbour House
Second-stage transition house in Surrey provides safe and affordable housing for mothers with children who have experienced intimate partner violence; applicants must be self-identified women or non-binary individuals who assigned female at birth. Accepts dependents up to age 25, including children who are male, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming. Offers emotional support, court accompaniment, information and referral, and advocacy. Support staff are on site 9 am to 5 pm, four days per week. Length of stay is one year, with a possible extension of up to 18 months. Can accommodate some pets such as a dog or a cat. Wheelchair accessible. Funded by BC Housing.
