Second-stage transition house in Vancouver provides safe, affordable housing for mothers with children who have experienced intimate partner violence; applicants must be self-identified women or non-binary individuals who were assigned female at birth. Accepts dependents up to age 25, including children who are male, non-binary, or gender-nonconforming. Offers emotional support, court accompaniment, information and referral, and advocacy. Support staff are on site 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Length of stay is one year, with a possible extension of up to 18 months. Can accommodate some pets (for example, one dog or one cat). Wheelchair accessible. Funded by BC Housing.
