YWCA Munroe House

Second-stage transition house in Vancouver provides safe and affordable housing for mothers with children who have experienced intimate partner violence; applicants must be self-identified women or non-binary individuals who were assigned female at birth. Accepts dependents up to age 25, including who are male, non-binary, or gender-nonconforming. Offers emotional support, information and referral, court accompaniment, and advocacy. Support staff on site 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Length of stay is one year, with a possible extension of up to 18 months. Can accommodate some pets (for example, one dog or one cat. Wheelchair accessible. Funded by BC Housing.
