Topics include communication; boundaries; accountability; empathy; abuse and the impact of domestic violence on children; managing stress and conflict; addictions; mental health; trauma; coping with grief and loss; intimacy and healthy versus unhealthy relationships; and community resources. Course can be taken in a condensed two-day format or a slower paced eight-week format.

  Provides services to assist victims of family and sexual violence, including adult victims of relationship violence, sexual assault, and criminal harassment; survivors of childhood physical and sexual abuse; child and youth victims of physical and sexual abuse; and child and youth witnesses of violence in relationships.

  Provides services to assist victims of family and sexual violence, including adult victims of relationship violence, sexual assault, and criminal harassment; survivors of childhood physical and sexual abuse; child and youth victims of physical and sexual abuse; and child and youth witnesses of violence in relationships. Serves victims who may or may not have reported the crime to police or be involved with the criminal justice system. Offers court accompaniment, witness orientation, liaison with criminal justice system personnel, information and referral, and short-term crisis intervention. Offers third party reporting to adult victims of sexual assault; staff report the assault to police on behalf of the victim who remains anonymous. Also assists victims who want bail conditions removed. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Serves the Williams Lake RCMP policing district including 150 Mile House, Alexandria, Horsefly, Lac La Hache, Likely, McLeese Lake, and Williams Lake. Funding provided by the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG).

Accepts walk-ins on Wednesdays at 9 am, 10:30 am, 1 pm, and 2:30 pm; appointment recommended. Counsellors make visits to the hospital, schools, or any place appropriate for those unable or unwilling to come to the office. Also offers bereavement support groups. Funded through Interior Health. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

  Provides free support services to parents/caregivers and their children, including individual and family counselling. Connect is a 10-week, attachment-based group program for parents/caregivers and their children that offers social/emotional support and skill development. Parents/caregivers meet weekly in small groups with two trained group leaders. Sessions offer new perspectives on parent-teen relationships and adolescent development, and information on building secure attachment. Teaches parents about building healthy relationships; developing effective parenting, communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills; setting limits; and helping their children move forward. Activities include role-plays, reflective exercises, and discussing new ways to respond to challenging behaviours and problems. Registration is required; accepts self-referrals. Serves Williams Lake and area. Program hours vary; dinner and support with childcare may be provided for. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Funded by Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD).

  Provides low-barrier overnight emergency shelter, with 40 beds for adults ages 19 and older of all genders.

  Provides low-barrier overnight emergency shelter, with 40 beds for adults ages 19 and older of all genders. Services include three meals a day, on-site showers, toiletries and harm reduction supplies. A donation room is available where residents can find clothing, shoes etc. Works with residents to help them obtain ID, and benefits such as income assistance and housing. Also makes referrals to addictions, mental health, and medical professionals. Mental health workers can assist residents on site. Residents are limited to no more than two suitcases of belongings. Tolerates drug and alcohol use from those who are behaving appropriately. Administrative hours are the best time to call about bed availability. Check in time is 5 pm and check out time is 9 am. Beds are first come, first served. Must be from Williams Lake in the last three months. Accepts self-referrals. Accepts pets. Facility is not wheelchair accessible. Administrative hours are 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. Funded by BC Housing.

Outreach workers meet with individuals where they are at - on the street, in a shelter, or in a temporary place - to determine housing needs, and provide referrals to services to meet immediate needs such as emergency shelter, food, clothing, and, blankets. Also provides help with obtaining identification and income assistance. Connects individuals to housing options by providing support with the application, move-in process, appointments and/or housing viewings, and liaison with landlords; rent subsidies may be available to support this process. Provides links to culturally appropriate services, as well as referrals to other support such as health care, counselling, and addiction recovery services. Serves 100 Mile House and Williams Lake. Hours vary. Funded by BC Housing.

  Provides daily 24-hour telephone crisis intervention by trained counsellors. Online crisis chat service is also available; hours are 5 pm to 9 pm Pacific time Thursday to Sunday. The Suicide Crisis Helpline is a free, 24-hour phone and 988 text national crisis line for individuals of any age experiencing a mental health crisis and require immediate support, or who are worried about someone they know. The Interior Crisis Line network is funded by Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), and the 988 Suicide Helpline is funded through Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). Counsellors may arrange face-to-face meetings if appropriate, and can involve other services as necessary. Serves the interior of BC, including 100 Mile House, Anahim Lake, Bella Bella and Bella Coola, Lillooet, and Williams Lake. Funded by Interior Health.
