Support staff provide daily assistance to enhance and develop the life skills of program participants, including goal planning; budgeting and money management skills; grocery shopping, nutrition, and meal planning; home management and safety skills; medical and general health support; access to community resources; interpersonal skills; and social and leisure group activities. Offers up to three days per week of after-school programs from September to June, and up to five weeks of full weeks of day camps during the summer. Eligible youth must be registered with the Supported Child Development Program (SCDP) run through Island Health.
