Provides community planning and development, cultural services, bylaw enforcement, permits and licensing, public works, and emergency services. Capital Regional District (CRD) is contracted to administer and enforce regulations of Animal Control Bylaw in Saanich. Mayor: Dean Murdock. Councillors: Susan Brice, Judy Brownoff, Nathalie Chambers, Zac de Vries, Karen Harper, Teale Phelps Bondaroff, Colin Plant, and Mena Westhaver. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

Provides after-school activities and a safe space for self-identified 2SLGBTQIA+ youth ages 11 to 16 to connect with youth leaders and peers.

Provides after-school activities and a safe space for self-identified 2SLGBTQIA+ youth ages 11 to 16 to connect with youth leaders and peers. Activities include games, crafts and outdoor activities. Program is free, but registration by an adult such as a parent, guardian, teacher, counsellor, or social worker is required. Youth can attend on a drop-in basis after being registered. No programming in July and August. Meetings are 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm Mondays at Saanich Commonwealth Place.

Oversees parks, recreational facilities, and heritage sites in Saanich. Indoor facilities include an arts centre, ceramics studio, visual arts studios, gallery, weight rooms, squash court, ice skating rink, aerobics and dance studio, and indoor pools. Outdoor amenities include sports fields, trails, playgrounds, a skateboard, bike and rollerblade park, waterpark, horseshoe club, community gardens, basketball courts, lawn bowling greens, lacrosse boxes, bike skill parks and a golf course. Operates the Cedar Hill Recreation Centre, G R Pearkes Recreation Centre, Gordon Head Recreation Centre, Saanich Commonwealth Place, Cedar Hill Golf Course and Braefoot Park Centre. Offers a wide variety of recreational, social, and cultural programs for all ages and abilities, including children, youth, families, seniors and people with disabilities. Offers financial assistance for recreation such as the Leisure Involvement for Everyone (LIFE) Program and kidsFUNd. Program and facility hours vary.
