Forensic Psychiatric Services

Provides specialized hospital- and community-based assessment, treatment, and clinical case management services for adults with mental illness who are in conflict with the law. All services are by court referral only. No services are offered directly to the public. Office hours are 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. A service of BC Mental Health and Addiction Services, a PHSA agency.

Secure, 190-bed facility serves individuals who have come into contact with the legal system and were found not criminally responsible for a crime or unfit to stand trial due to a mental disorder.

Secure, 190-bed facility serves individuals who have come into contact with the legal system and were found not criminally responsible for a crime or unfit to stand trial due to a mental disorder. Also provides care for people who have been transferred temporarily from correctional centres to be assessed or treated under BC's Mental Health Act. A referral is required from BC provincial courts or community corrections staff. Office hours are 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday.
