Serves the needs of children, parents, and caregivers through the provision of parent education and peer support groups, pregnancy outreach and postpartum support, physiotherapy and occupational therapy, a toy lending library, play groups and school-readiness groups, clothing exchange, meals and food voucher programs, referrals, child care, and a wide variety of other family resources and supports. Also provides licenced child care; registration required, fees charged. In partnership with Ktunaxa/Kinbasket Child and Family Services, offers culturally-appropriate programming to Indigenous families. Select programming is provided in West Kootenay communities through outreach, home visits, and in school; full programming is offered in Nelson. Office hours are 9 am to 1 pm Mondays and Fridays, 9 am to 3 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 12 pm to 3 pm Wednesdays. Nonprofit society, registered charity.
