Provides employment within trade or industry sectors to out-of-school and unemployed youth ages 16 to 30. Youth are provided with up to 60 hours of work experience in areas such as basic security training, customer service and tourism, retail, hospitality, construction, and agriculture/landscaping. Provides affordable housing for youth ages 16 to under 19, and youth 19 to 25 who are employed, or are full-time students.
Provides affordable housing for youth ages 16 to under 19, and youth 19 to 25 who are employed, or are full-time students. Applicants are assessed based on their need, safety concerns, current living situation, and abilities to pay toward the cost of housing. Youth must be willing to participate in life skills and personal development activities at the organization's housing centre. All units are drug, alcohol, and violence-free. Provides life skills to youth ages 16 to 20 who are permanent wards of Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) or on Youth Agreements. Supports youth on individual and group basis to assume responsibility and achieve independent living. Youth gain knowledge, experience, and support systems, such as self-advocacy, community resources, education planning, housing options, budgeting and financial skills, household maintenance, recreation and leisure activities, problem-solving skills, and health resources.
