LINC Assessment and Referral Centre - Langley acts as an access point for Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) offering free basic and intermediate (Levels 1 to 8) English language instruction for newcomers to Canada. Must be 17 years of age or older, be approved for permanent residence, and have a Canadian status document. Assesses prospective students for eligibility and training level using Canadian Language Benchmarks Placement Test (CLBPT) and gives a referral to an appropriate LINC school. Child care and child care subsidies may be available for preschool children. Also provides vocational testing and assessment services to people and organizations in Langley and the Fraser Valley Region (Abbotsford, Boston Bar, Chilliwack, Harrison Hot Springs, Hope, Mission, North Bend, Spuzzum, and Yale). Office hours are 9 am to 9 pm Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 am to 4 pm on Fridays, and 10 am to 2 pm on Saturdays. Funded by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Registered BC corporation.
