Provides a wide range of health care and support services for children and youth up to age 19 with developmental delays, functional conditions, and/or mental health issues. Services include assessment, treatment, and therapeutic intervention delivered at home, in clinics, in child care settings, or at school. Referral process depends on the program. Also operates licensed child care, registration required. Serves Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Intake is handled by a central phone number. Office hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Operated by Island Health.

Works with families to evaluate and plan treatment for Vancouver Island children and youth who are experiencing serious and complex psychiatric challenges; goal is to increase a child or youth's mental health and functioning at home, at school, and within the community.

Works with families to evaluate and plan treatment for Vancouver Island children and youth who are experiencing serious and complex psychiatric challenges; goal is to increase a child or youth's mental health and functioning at home, at school, and within the community. Mood Anxiety and Psychosis (MAP) Team provides specialized services for children and youth up to and including age 18, who are having significant challenges in their daily functioning due to complex mood, anxiety, and/or psychotic conditions. The Neurodevelopment Team provides specialized services for children and youth up to and including age 18, who are having significant challenges in their daily functioning due to complex mental health and behavioural challenges secondary to neurodevelopmental impairments, such as challenges along the autism spectrum, fetal alcohol, and other related genetically based impairments. Referral required from a family physician, pediatrician, or mental health clinician. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

Provides acute, inpatient, hospital-based psychiatric services for Vancouver Island children and youth ages six to 16 with complex psychiatric problems. Services include short-term crisis intervention, stabilization, assessment, treatment planning, and short-term interventions. Children's and Youth Units include 14 inpatient beds, and provide multidisciplinary, tertiary mental health assessment and treatment planning. The Special Care Unit (SCU) provides short-term stabilization and assessment to children and youth during an acute crisis that requires intensive 24-hour monitoring, including florid psychosis, active mania, and suicidal with previous serious suicide attempts. Referral required from physician or mental health clinician. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Serves Vancouver Island.
