Tracks and follows up on reports of hate crimes, coordinating with local police as appropriate. People may call to obtain general information or to speak to police about a hate incident. Community liaison is provided by both this office and the Multiculturalism Division in the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture. Callers can report a non-emergency hate crime by phoning the non-emergency number for their local police department, or by visiting their local police department to make a report in person. Local police departments or RCMP detachments can be found here.

Canada's national centre that provides law enforcement, medical examiners and chief coroners with specialized investigative services in support of missing persons and unidentified remains investigations.
Manages the national Missing Children/Persons and Unidentified Remains (MC/PUR) Database, which includes data on missing persons and unidentified remains investigations from across the country. Provides advice and case analysis to law enforcement partners. Maintains the national public website to provide information on selected cases to the public for the purpose of seeking tips on investigations. Provides enhanced specialized services to investigators such as the Travel Reunification Program, Computer Photo Age Progression, and Facial Approximation, analysis and access to the National Missing Persons DNA Program.
