  Tracks and follows up on reports of hate crimes, coordinating with local police as appropriate. People may call to obtain general information or to speak to police about a hate incident. Community liaison is provided by both this office and the Multiculturalism Division in the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture. Callers can report a non-emergency hate crime by phoning the non-emergency number for their local police department, or by visiting their local police department to make a report in person. Local police departments or RCMP detachments can be found here.

Provides advice and case analysis to law enforcement partners. Provides enhanced specialized services to investigators such as the Travel Reunification Program, Computer Photo Age Progression, and Facial Approximation, analysis and access to the National Missing Persons DNA Program.
