Provides policing services to the City of Nanaimo, Snuneymuxw First Nation, Snaw-Naw-As First Nation, District of Lantzville, and Regional District of Nanaimo Electoral Areas A and C. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Calls are answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week. After hours, calls are answered by RCMP in Courtenay.

Educates the public on distracted driving, speeding, auto theft prevention and safety, and other safety initiatives for children, youth, adults, and seniors. Conducts surveys, participates in community events, reports suspicious activity, and provides a visible presence in the community. Road safety educational activities and initiatives are in partnership with Insurance Corporation of BC.

Assists victims and witnesses of all types of crime and other trauma, including their families and significant others. Provides emotional support, and practical assistance such as form completion assistance, crisis intervention, liaison with justice system personnel, and court orientation, preparation, and accompaniment when possible. Also provides information about the criminal justice system, court proceedings, case status, and hearing dates. Provides referrals to other community agencies. Serves Cassidy (south to the bridge), Cedar, Gabriola Island, Lantzville, and Nanaimo. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
