  Provides initial crisis intervention and support to victims and witnesses of crime and other significant trauma.

  Provides initial crisis intervention and support to victims and witnesses of crime and other significant trauma. Makes referrals to appropriate community agencies, explains the criminal justice system, and outlines steps involved in investigations and prosecutions. Provides information about the Crime Victim Assistance Program. Assists victims with court process and provides updates on the status of court appearances. Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to attend call outs at the request of police. Office hours are 7 am to 10 pm Monday to Friday and 11:30 am to 3:30 pm weekends and statutory holidays. Funding provided by the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG).
