Provides free and confidential community-based victim services to victims of all ages and genders who have experienced family and relationship violence, sexual assault, historical child physical/sexual abuse, and criminal harassment.
Services include emotional support, advocacy, safety planning, assistance with child protection authorities, accompaniment to medical and/or criminal justice system services, liaison with crown counsel, information about the criminal justice system and court process, help preparing victim impact statements, form completion assistance, information on the status of police investigations and the status of court cases, information on peace bonds and restraining orders, help with applications for financial assistance, and information and referral to other agencies and services such as counselling, transition houses, and support for children. Also offers third party reporting to victims of sexualized assault; staff report the assault to police on behalf of the victim who remains anonymous. Accepts referral from self or other. Serves Port Alberni and Bamfield. Hours are 8:30 am to 11:30 am and 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Funded by Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG).

Provides free individual and group counselling for children and youth ages three to 18 who have been exposed to family violence.
Helps children and youth understand their emotions, discuss their trauma, develop a safety plan, recognize their strengths, increase their self-confidence, and understand that they are not responsible for the violence. Also provides individual and group support for the non-offending parent and caregivers. Serves Port Alberni. Hours are 9 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Reduced barrier house; no substance use on premises, and women living with mental health issues are expected to live independently within a communal setting. Gives women a safe and supportive living environment with access to daily living requirements such as clothing, toiletries, and nutritious meals. Also provides emotional support, counselling, practical assistance, transportation, and accompaniment. Offers resource information to enable women to explore their options and define their goals as well as assist with the development of safety plans. Personal identification (ID) is not required. Wheelchair accessible. Pets accepted on a case-by-case basis. Priority given to women from Port Alberni; open to others if space allows. Funded by BC Housing.

Provides advocacy and support to survivors of sexual assault.
Services include emotional support, advocacy, information assistance, safety planning, hospital and/or examination accompaniment, change of clothing and self-care supplies, safe ride home via cab, and referrals to other programs. Volunteers are trained from a trauma-informed, and Indigenous-based perspective, and work in full collaboration with the forensic nurse examiner program. Program hours vary; office hours are 8:30 am to 11:30 am and 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

Second-stage housing for self-identified women with or without children who have experienced gender-based violence and are wanting to make changes in their lives.
Provides on-site supports such as safety planning, crisis intervention, parenting support, and tenancy resources. Male children are accepted ages 18 and under. 22 units, including studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units. Units are offered for periods of six to 18 months and are intended to transition residents to independent permanent housing. Rent is 30% of income or the provincial shelter rate for individuals receiving income assistance. Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis. Wheelchair accessible. Intake is through first-stage transition houses and community agencies; priority given to women from Port Alberni; open to others if space allows. Office hours are 8:30 am to 11:30 am and 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
