Salmo Community Resource Society

Provides a variety of programs and services, including information and referral to community services. Provides counselling, parenting education, and support to families experiencing child behaviour problems, parent-youth conflict, or other difficulties in functioning. Also acts as a venue for community organizations who have no office of their own. Food Bank offers monthly hampers from 9:30 am to 11:45 am Wednesdays; registration is required. Also operates Salmo RCMP Victim Services, listed under RCMP - Salmo. Office hours are 9 am to 12 noon and 1 pm to 4 pm Monday to Thursday. Nonprofit society.

Provides free individual and group counselling for children and youth ages three to 18 who have been exposed to family violence. Helps children and youth understand their emotions, discuss their trauma, develop a safety plan, recognize their strengths, increase their self-confidence, and understand that they are not responsible for the violence. Also provides individual and group support for the non-offending parent and caregivers. Offers school-based educational activities designed to prevent violence. Serves Salmo and surrounding areas.
