  Works to promote healthy development in children, families, and the community by using a strength-based approach that is family-focused, community-based, and culturally inclusive; services incorporate culture from the Tsleil-Waututh Nation and other Indigenous cultures.

  Works to promote healthy development in children, families, and the community by using a strength-based approach that is family-focused, community-based, and culturally inclusive; services incorporate culture from the Tsleil-Waututh Nation and other Indigenous cultures. Operates a licensed child care for children from six months of age until school age (when they enter Grade 1) on a fee-for-service basis. The Home Instruction Program for Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) program assists parents in teaching and preparing their three- to five-year old children at home for school readiness. Consultants work collaboratively with families through the Aboriginal Infant Development program, visiting homes with children under six years of age. The Aboriginal Head Start Program offers a free three-hour program for community children to foster literacy and numeracy skills, and ensures children are socially and emotionally ready for school; incorporates culture from First Nations, staff, and the community. Also offers specialized support for children with special needs. Hours are 7:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday.
