Umbrella Society for Addictions and Mental Health

Provides support to individuals and their loved ones struggling with substance use issues. The outreach team works one-on-one with individuals struggling with substance use, providing support and helping them navigate the system and access community resources. A family counsellor works with family members who need support with a loved one's substance use; available by donation, with no family member ever turned away for lack of funds. Also offers education to schools and workplaces, and hosts workshops about addiction issues. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Nonprofit society, registered charity.

Provides a supportive second-stage recovery home to men who have completed a minimum of 30 days in a stabilization or residential treatment program.

Provides a supportive second-stage recovery home to men who have completed a minimum of 30 days in a stabilization or residential treatment program. Residents can stay as long as needed for their recovery. They can work, volunteer, or attend school while following their individualized recovery plans. Men participate in the day-to-day responsibilities of the house, including meal prep, chores, and on-site professional counselling. Does not accept men on substitution therapy. Monthly rent applies. Call for more information and referral/intake procedures. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

Third Stage Housing

Cooper House and Potter House are third-stage houses for men in recovery from substance use who have lived in Foundation House, have completed the Ready-to-Rent program, and want to transition to more independent housing.

Cooper House and Potter House are third-stage houses for men in recovery from substance use who have lived in Foundation House, have completed the Ready-to-Rent program, and want to transition to more independent housing. These house support residents to transition away from the more rigorous regimes of treatment to the complete freedoms of independent living with less supervision and no scheduled cooking and cleaning chores. Residents are encouraged to continue with Umbrella counselling and outreach. Does not accept men on substitution therapy. Monthly rent applies. Call for more information and referral/intake procedures. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
