  A service for all genders that provides caring and accessible support, education, and advocacy to those who have been impacted by gender-based violence, either by directly experiencing it, through causing harm to someone, or knowing someone who has experienced it.

  A service for all genders that provides caring and accessible support, education, and advocacy to those who have been impacted by gender-based violence, either by directly experiencing it, through causing harm to someone, or knowing someone who has experienced it. Trained volunteers provide confidential support and referrals relating to gender-based violence such as sexualized violence, sexual assault, transphobic violence, homophobic violence, street harassment, and intimate partner violence. Also presents educational workshops, public events, and hosts a resource library. Student-based service open to all community members, and works in conjunction with other university and community services. Office hours are generally 10:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday, and support hours are 11 am to 3 pm Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, and also by appointment on Wednesdays.

  Offers province-wide health education programs that provide information and teach practical skills to give people greater confidence in their ability to better manage their chronic health conditions.

  Offers province-wide health education programs that provide information and teach practical skills to give people greater confidence in their ability to better manage their chronic health conditions. Programs are offered in a variety of formats: telephone, computer audio, online or independently. The Tool Kit for Active Living (four options: chronic conditions, chronic pain, diabetes, and cancer) provides a one-time mailing of a kit that includes written materials, CDs or audiofiles, as well as a self-test for participants to start their personal journeys. Self-Management Programs (four options: chronic conditions, chronic pain, diabetes and cancer) are six-session small group workshops held at venues throughout the province or virtually via webcam. Participants interact and set a week action plan towards their health goal. The six-week, web-based Better Choices, Better Health Online Program brings together groups of about 25 individuals living with a variety of ongoing health conditions. New topics are posted weekly. Participants log in on their own time and use the discussion boards for an interactive experience. Participants interact and set a weekly action plan towards their health goal. The Health Coach Program and Frailty Coach Program are three-month telephone-based coaching programs to support people living with chronic health conditions and people who are concerned about becoming frail. Coaches contact participants once a week for approximately 30 minutes. Participants choose goals and actions they want to take to better manage their health. Participants in the frailty program use the Canadian AVOID Strategy - Activity, Vaccinations, Optimized medication, Interaction and Diet. Participants identify issues and action plans to adhere to their goals. Programs are free and open to adults living in BC. Some programs are also offered in Chinese and Punjabi. Office is open Monday to Friday and closed on statutory holidays.

  Offers free advice, assistance, and representation to clients who are low-income and residents of the greater Victoria area.

  Offers free advice, assistance, and representation to clients who are low-income and residents of the greater Victoria area. Services are provided by supervised law students in the following areas of law: criminal matters, family law, human rights complaints, and civil disputes. Also provides specialized services including: an assisted divorce program, family law document preparation, human rights clinics, First Nations outreach, shut-in and hospital legal services, and inmate legal services. Call to discuss financial eligibility and whether the legal issue is within the scope of services provided by law students. Serves residents of the greater Victoria area. Hours are 9 am to 12 noon and 1 pm to 3 pm Monday to Thursday; services by appointment.
