Works to improve the health, safety, and well-being of self-identified women and gender diverse individuals, age 19 and older who are involved in Vancouver’s street-based sex trade. Provides a drop-in centre from 6 pm to 12 noon daily with various services offered (basic needs support, health care and access to community services, hot meals, showers, clean clothing, personal care items including condoms, harm reduction supplies, and access to a computer); also accepts clothing donations. Daily breakfast is provided from 7 am to 9 am, dinner from 6 pm to 8 pm, and an overnight meal at 1 am; snacks are served at 10:30 am, 10 pm, and 1 am. An InReach Program provides one-to-one goal support with additional assistance provided from other WISH programs and services, as well as from community services. A Supportive Employment Program (SEP) provides opportunities to develop skills, experience, and confidence within a safe working environment at WISH; goal is to support women seeking to increase mainstream employment opportunities and decrease reliance on sex work. A Mobile Access Project (MAP) van provides outreach support, supplies, snacks, and referrals from 11 pm to 5 am daily. Music Therapy is available.
