Established by provincial legislation as an agency with the mandate to oversee a no-fault insurance system for the workplace. Partners with employers and workers in BC to promote the prevention of workplace injury, illness, and disease; rehabilitate those who are injured, and provide timely return to work; provide fair compensation to replace workers' loss of wages while recovering from injuries; and ensure sound financial management for a viable workers' compensation system. Offices are located throughout BC. Hours for the Claims Call Centre and Teleclaim Contact Centre are 8 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday.

Provides early intervention to employers and workers following a traumatic workplace event such as a fatality, physical injury, robbery, or incident that causes emotional or psychological trauma. Mental health professionals provide help coping with the effects of a traumatic incident and can address strong emotions such as guilt, sadness, fear, or anger that workers may be experiencing. Following the initial intervention, may provide up to five hours of individual follow-up intervention if required. Anyone can request an intervention, and services can be provided up to three weeks from the date of the critical incident. Hours are 9 am to 11 pm, seven days a week.
