Provides a safe, healthy, and affordable environment to support northern BC families as they connect and get active. Promotes community building through programs for children, families, and seniors. Offers a 90-minute childminding service for children three months to five years of age between 8:30 am to 1 pm Monday to Friday while caretakers are exercising; service must be pre-booked during program hours by phone (250-640-2161) up to a week in advance, except for drop-ins between 9 am to 1 pm on Saturdays. Operates the Prince George Family Y, Taylor District YMCA, Vanderhoof Aquatic Centre, and Vanderhoof Community Centre. Offers financial assistance for those with financial barriers to access YMCA programs. Also operates licensed child care for children from birth to age 12 at multiple locations in Northern BC. Nonprofit society, registered charity.
