Provides refugee claimants who have arrived in the lower mainland area with temporary short-term support, including access to vital emergency services and safe shelter. Accommodation is available for up to three days. Offers transportation from the border point of entry to accommodation. Applications must be submitted within 48 hours of arrival; support is provided within 72 hours of submitting an application. Service can be accessed through a multilingual phone line, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
