Screening and referral telephone line that provides youth and adults access to free withdrawal management services (detox), counselling, medication (methadone maintenance programs), and addiction housing. People who require detoxification receive immediate screening by health care workers, who set up appointment times with the provider that most suits a client's needs. Also provides housing information, screening, referral, and placement services for adult men and women who are dealing with addiction issues. Referrals are made to low-threshold supported housing (for those who may not be abstinent nor actively engaged in addiction treatment) or to alcohol- and drug-free supported housing. Serves Lions Bay, North Vancouver, Pemberton, Powell River, Richmond, Squamish, the Sunshine Coast, Vancouver, West Vancouver, and Whistler. Hours are 9 am to 7:45 pm, seven days a week; voicemail messages are answered the following morning.
