Administers the adoption process in BC. Through the Adoption Reunion Registry, provides search, intermediary, and support services to those whose lives have been affected by an adoption in BC (www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/life-events/birth-adoption/adoptions/adoption-reunions-registries). Birth Parent Registry and Post Adoption Openness Registry allow for birth parents to be notified of an adoption and communicate with adoptive parents after an adoption (see link above), Also provides Inter-Country Adoption services (www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/life-events/birth-adoption/adoptions/how-to-adopt-a-child).
