Bartley Court Shelter West Kelowna

Provides 38 beds in an all-gender-inclusive shelter for adults age 19 and over who are experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. Operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Services includes meals, showers, laundry, case planning with a holistic harm reduction approach and referrals to community services. Offers an on-site overdose prevention site for harm reduction support, and secure storage for personal belongings, including a registered storage area for bikes. Shopping carts are not permitted. Provides access to a resource room with books, games, and movies, as well as a bulletin board with employment and housing listings, and a wellness focused outdoor area. Wheelchair accessible. Pet friendly with a pet agreement required. Also offers a Mat Program with six mats available to all genders from 7 pm to 9 pm nightly throughout the year. In-person registration for this program is on a first-come, first-served basis daily at 7 pm. The mat program offers overnight shelter, dinner, breakfast, showers and laundry. Shelter diversion and self-referrals for the Bartley Shelter are available to individuals accessing the mat program. Also provides six emergency overflow mats between November 1 and March 31 when weather is extreme and a community Extreme Weather Response (EWR) alert is called. Funded by BC Housing.
