Service Description

Funds services for adults with developmental disabilities, adults with significant limitations in adaptive functioning and a diagnosis of either fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and for families providing care. Staff confirm eligibility for CLBC-funded supports, assist individuals and their networks with planning, support individuals to connect to CLBC-funded and community programs, and liaise with community agencies and other services. Residential support services include staffed residential care, shared living arrangements, and supported living services. Community inclusion services include life skills development, social/recreational/vocational programs, and employment search assistance. Other services include psychological and behavioural consultation, assessment, and therapy, as well as home support, respite care, and coordination of support services. CLBC funds services that are provided by qualified service providers who have the knowledge and expertise to support individuals and their families in the community. Serves Cranbrook, Creston, Elkford, Fernie, Golden, Kimberley, Radium, and Sparwood. Office hours are 8:30 am to 12 noon and 1 pm to 4:30 pm Mountain time Monday to Friday.
