Service Description
Reviews all charges referred by the police to determine if it is feasible to proceed with the case. Prosecutes the case and makes recommendations to the court as to an appropriate sentence. Contacts victims and witnesses if they have to testify at the trial and reviews the case with victims, explains court procedures, and provides information on the date of trial and date of sentencing. Also covers out-of-town travel costs when victims and witnesses are required by Crown Counsel to attend court. Office hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
