Education Awards Program
Helps people living in subsidized housing or those receiving assistance through the Rental Assistance Program (RAP) pursue their educational goals. Offers seven education awards and bursaries from $750 to $1,000 for post-secondary education and training programs. Awards are based on academic achievement and financial need. Eligible applicants are between the ages of 17 to 64 during the application year; pursuing vocational education or post-secondary education at a recognized BC institution on a full- or part-time basis; enrolled in courses that begin or continue through September of the application year; living in accommodation subsidized by BC Housing at the start of courses; and not receiving government income assistance (BC disability assistance recipients are eligible to apply for the $750 BC Housing Bursary.)
