Provides extra support to individuals with developmental disabilities to find and keep employment. Work-related support includes a discovery process to learn more about each individual in order to make suitable job matches, and assistance with resume writing, work search, interview skills, and other job skills. Skill building is developed through job shadowing, work experience, and other personalized training opportunities. Kindred ReBuild is a social enterprise that collects furniture and building materials and turns them into affordable goods; offers opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities to volunteer or work. Also provides initial on-site job support until work site supports are in place. Referrals are through WorkBC or Community Living BC. Offered in partnership with the WorkBC Employment Services Centre - Powell River (Career Link).
