Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch - Victoria Head Office
Grants gambling event licences allowing eligible organizations to fundraise by holding a single gambling event or series of events. Gambling events include raffles, bingos, poker, social occasion casinos, and wheels of fortune. Applications must be submitted using the Gaming Online Service. Call or email Gaming.Licensing@gov.bc.ca for questions about gambling event licences. Also registers and certifies gambling industry workers, service providers, and supplies; application forms can be found online and must be submitted by mail or courier.
Also investigates allegations of wrongdoing in gaming and horse racing in BC. Enforcement activities include deterring money laundering, theft, and fraud; preventing minors from gambling; and applying sanctions and penalties to gambling industry registrants. Individuals may file a criminal or regulatory complaint by email, phone, or online (www.gaming.gov.bc.ca/gaming/inv/Complaint.do).
