Five-bed short stay crisis stabilization program for adults in emotional or psychiatric distress and/or in need of sub-acute withdrawal management. Offers short-term residential care (generally two to four days), assessment and diagnosis, detox services, medication administration and monitoring, goal planning, individualized treatment plans, and connection to community supports. Service is midway between outpatient therapy and psychiatric hospitalization. Voluntary admission. Accepts self-referrals, however physician or nurse practitioner assessment required prior to admission. 24-hour admission to the program. Funded by Ministry of Health.
