Integrated Crisis Response Team (ICRT) - Penticton
A mobile crisis response unit (composed of a police officer and a health care professional) which responds to individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis. Also provides assistance to RCMP officers dealing with situations involving domestic violence. A police officer must attend first before referring to ICRT. Used by health care professionals and police officers who refer to the team to provide crisis intervention, risk assessments, and referrals to mental health and/or victim services. Serves residents of Penticton. Service is provided in English; other languages may be available depending on staffing. Interpretation services are available for free. Partnership program between Interior Health and Penticton RCMP. Hours vary. Funded by Ministry of Mental Health and Addictions.
