Investigations and Standards Office (ISO)

An independent body of the Ministry of Attorney General established by the Correction Act to provide oversight to BC Corrections. The Act establishes legal authority to provide safe, secure, and humane detention of sentenced and remanded people in provincial correctional centres. Responsible for investigating complaints made by inmates at provincial correctional centres and probationers supervised in the community. Helpline answers questions or concerns from people in custody and the public. Hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
