Joy's Place Second Stage

Provides independent, transitional housing for women (inclusive of cisgender and transgender women), with or without children, who are fleeing violent relationships or are at-risk of abuse, threats, or violence. Accepts male children ages 16 and under; older males may be accepted case by case. Residents attend weekly resiliency group meetings and work on personal success plan. No alcohol or drug use while in residence. Maximum stay is 12 months. Self-referral through transition houses, as vacancies arise. Housing charge is between $550 and $750 including utilities, depending on number of bedrooms. Cannot accommodate pets. Not wheelchair accessible. Funded by BC Housing.
