Service Description

Provides services to British Columbians who are going through a separation or divorce. Family justice counsellors are accredited family mediators who provide dispute resolution services to help families resolve disagreements about parenting arrangements, contact with a child, guardianship, and support issues, without going to court. Services include information, short-term counselling, mediation, and referrals to community services. Service is free and confidential. Serves 100 Mile House, Alexis Creek, Alkali Lake, Anahim Lake, Ashcroft, Barriere, Bella Coola, Cache Creek, Canim Lake, Chase, Clearwater, Clinton, Dog Creek, Horsefly, Kamloops, Lillooet, Logan Lake, Lytton, Mcleese Lake, Merritt, and Williams Lake. Staff work out of Williams Lake office several times per month. Hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday and Friday, and 8 am to 4:30 pm Tuesday to Thursday. In-person services are available Tuesday to Thursday, virtual services are available during all business hours. Hours subject to change. Clients without an appointment are advised to phone ahead before dropping in.
