Kamloops Street Nurse Outreach Program

Offers health promotion services on an outreach basis to individuals experiencing chronic homelessness. Services include health care outreach, referrals, harm reduction supplies distribution including needle and condom distribution, immunization, and health education. Also offers wound care, pregnancy testing, TB skin tests for treatment, and testing for HIV, hepatitis C, and other sexually transmitted infections. Occasionally conducts public health education campaigns for the general public. Hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Operates weekly drop-in clinic from 1 pm to 3 pm Wednesdays at the Mustard Seed Wellness Centre at 181 Victoria Street West.
