Mental Health and Substance Use Services - Kelowna
Provides a range of health care and support services for individuals with mental health and/or substance use issues. Services include assessment, treatment, counselling, education, and referral to community resources. Also provides counselling to individuals who are concerned about someone else's substance use. In addition, provides access to other specialty substance use and mental health services. The Integrated Treatment Team (ITT) offers adult substance use treatment that is discrete, based on client needs, and flexible to accommodate individuals who have been unable to attend traditional inpatient or outpatient treatment programs in the past due to work schedules, lack of transportation, child care demands, or other reasons; service includes virtual and in-person individual and group counselling, medication, support in development personal treatment goals, overdose prevention and harm reduction services and supports, self-management support, and support from trained peers. Referral accepted from self or other. Outpatient Withdrawal Management Services provide planned withdrawal and substance use stabilization services in the home and community under the supervision of a team of care practitioners. Crisis Response Team responds to mental health and substance use crises within the community and at the hospital to provide intervention, assessment, and referrals to resources. Serves Kelowna. Hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
